In 2016 Manpreet Sohal graduated with a master's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Technical University of Punjab, India. Currently, he is enrolled at the University of Zurich in Switzerland for his second Master in Data Science and Banking & Finance.
Before Manpreet enrolled for the second master, he worked for Cryptographic IT solutions Pvt. Ltd, India as a technical support associate. Moreover, as a trainee he gained experience in encryption and decryption techniques.
His project at ETH Library Lab is focused on the complex legal environment for scientific dataset use. The goal is to identify concrete challenges for scientist and researchers in dealing with datasets for research purposes in a legally compliant way and propose novel approaches to help overcome these challenges.
