Magnus Wuttke is enrolled at ETH Zurich's Department of Computer Science. He is particularly interested in exploring research areas like blockchain technology, tokenization und cryptoeconomics and is an open-source enthusiast.
Besides his studies, Magnus was involved in the team project “Flow Control Currency (FLOCC)” that has been incubated at the Student Project House, ETH Zurich. FLOCC proposes a binary crypto-currency system, designed for effective self-regulation to avoid monopolization of value.
During spring semester 2019 he was an IoT (internet-of-things) mentor at “BETH – Blockchain School for Sustainability”. Moreover, he also contributed to the international FuturICT2.0 project in the context of the Finance 4.0 initiative led by the Professorship of Computational Social Science at ETH Zurich.
At ETH Library Lab, Magnus developed – together with Max Roessner – the project Filsat. Its goal is to improve online learning tutorials and courses, by providing a more complete and realistic learning experience while closing the gap between online tutorials and open source development. The solution that is currently been prototyped is improving open-source software documentation by providing free documentation back to open source projects.
